Your life only gets better when you start associating with successful, like-minded people that will challenge you, teach you and push you harder and higher ~ John Salkowski
I first met Mr. Canfield at a conference in Los Angeles hosted by my mentor and business coach, James Malinchak, Founder of http://BigMoneySpeaker.com. Some of you may have heard of James since he was featured on the Hit ABC TV Show, “Secret Millionaire”. Being around James, being mentored by James and being around his other successful coaching clients as well as his celebrity friends and guest has revolutionized my life. We’ve all heard that you are who you associate with, right, well I’m telling you James has introduced me to some amazingly successful and giving people that have helped me catapult my speaking, coaching and mastermind business.
Meeting the success guru Jack Canfield, co-author of Chicken Soup for the Soul and author of the best-selling book The Success Principles was amazing. Being able to have a conversation with Mr. Canfield to pick his brain of over 40yrs of success experience was phenomenal. Mr. Canfield jump-started his career with his mentor, W. Clement Stone, who taught him the fundamental success principles that he still operates from today.
As you can see, all successful leaders have coaches and/or mentors. If you want what they want, if you want to do what they do then you must follow, model and mentor after successful people.
It’s because of being around successful leaders and entrepreneurs like Jack Canfield and James Malinchak that have helped me create my own coaching/mentor programs as well as my own mastermind groups where I teach other successful leaders and entrepreneurs how to become better decision makers in all areas of life and business. We all must realize that every area of our life begins and ends with a decision. When there is a decision made, action is taken. When we take action, we move forward. It’s a fact that decisive people are successful people. We all know that making decisions in our daily life and business can be a daunting process. This is where I come in, to assist them in being able to make the tough decisions when their personal success and the success of their organizations depend on it.
All of this would not have been possible if I didn’t surround myself with other successful leaders and entrepreneurs.
“You must constantly ask yourself these questions: Who am I around? What are they doing to me? What have they got me reading? What have they got me saying? Where do they have me going? What do they have me thinking? And most important, what do they have me becoming? Then ask yourself the big question: Is that okay?” ~ Jim Rohn
